My Life with the Rider-Waite Tarot:

I became fascinated with Tarot at the age of 14 and my Mom bought me the Rider-Waite tarot deck. Like most readers, I taught myself at first then in the late '80s, my travels exposed me to structured studies at B.O.T.A. (Builders of the Adytum) and I began applying my studies in Kabbalah and Jungian Psychology to the Tarot in a practical form which enabled me to be a better tarot counselor.

In addition to the studied arts of the Tarot, I am psy-empathic individual and I pick up on the emotions and fleeting thoughts of everyone around me, at first proving to be an overwhelming characteristic to awaken within me. Dealing with this was a burden for me and overcoming it did not happen overnight. It was not until I attempted to read tarot for the public that I became able to control my empathy and apply it in a helpful manner. It seemed the more individuals I read for - the more I healed myself. So where many tarot readers may consider themselves Intuitive readers or psychic readers, I refer to myself as an Empathic Tarot Reader.

I am a light-hearted individual and my readings will no doubt contain some humor, but I am very serious about my readings, the client's problems, and my interpretations - symbolic, intellectual, and practical. No tarot reading is finite; no outcome is set in stone. There are no good or bad readings, only more accurate readings. Negative situations can be altered to benefit my clients if they will work with me to take notice of the signs of trouble, isolate them and then plan to overcome them. When I read for a client, I do not appreciate those who wish to "test my abilities" and therefore I will not read for individuals who make statements such as, "you are the psychic, you tell me!" when ask specific questions about the cards revealing themselves in the reading. I enjoy helping others, but I can not do that unless the client allows me to.

Tarot has been my true spiritual path my entire life; it is spiritual truth and has time and time again been proof to me that there is A Grand Design in this universe. We all must look within ourselves before we can find the answers without; none of us can reach the superconscious without first exploring our subconscious. Tarot is the tool that allows us to do this. By a certain age, most of us realize that we can't count on many things to always be there for us when we need them. Without failure, Tarot has always been there for me and for my clients, I will make sure that the Tarot is always there for you as well.
